Guy Hogan, 83 of Fitzgerald, formerly of Florida, died Sunday, November 21, 2010 at Life Care Center of Fitzgerald.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, November 23, 2010 at the Paulk Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Steve O’Neal officiating. Interment will follow in the Pleasant Hill Church Cemetery in Rebecca. The family will receive friends from 6-8 Monday evening at the funeral home in Fitzgerald.
Mr. Hogan was born August 24, 1927, in Ben Hill County to the late John Thomas and Bertie Hogan. He was a farmer, worked in lawn care and when he lived in Florida he was caretaker of Orange Groves. Mr. Hogan was an avid collector of John Deere memorabilia, old toys and marbles. He was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church.
He is survived by his siblings: Barbara Billingsley Bailey, Bill Murray, Frances Crozier, Ola Register all of Fitzgerald, Carolyn Wilson of Lakeland, Florida, Minne Ruth Coker of Dade City, Florida and Albert Cleo Murray of Lexington, North Carolina and uncle, Dave Hogan of Atlanta, Georgia.
