Andover, MA- Alfred J. Coelho, 76. Died Saturday, November 20th at his home, surrounded by his loving family.
Born in Methuen, Alfred was the son of Annacelto and Eva (Pelletier) Coelho. He was educated in Methuen and was a graduate of Methuen High School.
For 37 years Alfred worked for Essem Packing in Lawrence. He was also a member of the National Guard, serving for 13 years.
Alfred’s biggest joy in life was his family. He enjoyed spending time with them, especially having cookouts every weekend in the summer. He was an avid Red Sox and patriots fan, and enjoyed watching Western movies, as well as playing 45’s.
He will be deeply missed by his wife of 55 years, Doris Coelho, his 4 children, Barbara Corneau and her boyfriend Ted of Andover, Brenda Soucy and her husband Michael of Methuen, Ann Valiante and her husband Joseph of Dracut, Michael Coelho and his wife Maura of Dracut, 12 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren and 1 great-great- granddaughter. He is also survived by his siblings, Arnold and Mathew Coelho and Shirley Robichaud as well as many nieces and nephews.
ARRANGEMENTS: Relatives and friends may pay their respects on Tuesday, November 23rd from 4-8PM at the Kenneth H. Pollard Funeral Home 233 Lawrence St., Methuen. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday November 24th at St. Augustine’s Parish in Andover at 1PM. Cremation will follow and burial will take place at a later date.
