RAYNHAM – Carole A. (Greene) Montague, a longtime Raynham resident, died at Tufts-New England Medical Center in Boston on Nov. 18, 2010.
She was 66.
Born in New Bedford, she was the daughter of the late John F. and Josephine (Niedzwiedz) Greene.
Raised and educated in New Bedford, she was a 1961 graduate of New Bedford High School.
Later, she worked for the Continental Screw Co. in New Bedford and Benny’s in Raynham.
She was subsequently employed by Shaw’s for over twenty-five years in their Raynham store, and in their corporate offices in E. Bridgewater.
She retired several years ago due to illness.
A communicant of Holy Family Church in East Taunton, Mrs. Montague was a deeply devoted grandmother, a cancer survivor and an avid fan of the Boston Red Sox and other New England sports teams.
She leaves two sons, Eric W. Montague and his wife Christine of Amesbury and Marc E. Montague of Raynham; a brother, Richard J. Greene of Townsend, MA; two grandchildren, Shea A. and Chloe A. Montague, both of Amesbury; and several nieces, nephews, aunts, cousins and close friends.
She was also the sister of the late John F. and Eugene K. Greene.
Her funeral will be held from the Silva Funeral Home, 80 Broadway, Taunton on Tuesday, Nov. 23rd at 9 a.m. followed by a funeral mass at Holy Family Church, East Taunton at 10 a.m.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
Calling Hours will be held at the funeral home on Monday, Nov. 22nd from 5 to 8 p.m.
