Philip Galasso, 81, of Somerville, formerly of Brooklyn, NY, died Monday at the Lawrence Memorial Hospital, Medford.
Mr. Galasso was born in Brooklyn, NY, the son of the late Nicolo and the late Florence (Secondolfi) Galasso. Mr. Galasso served in the Army during World War II. Mr Galasso lived most of his life in his beloved Brooklyn. There, he worked as a truck driver. Phil was a 4th Degree Knight of Columbus in Brooklyn and a great fan of the NY Mets.
He is survived by his beloved wife Pasqualina “Pat” (Cuddemi) Galasso. He also leaves his sisters, Grace Varrone of Hempstead, Long Island, Millie Dorato of Merrick, NY and many loving nieces and nephews.
Friends may call Thursday from 4 - 8 at the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford.A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered in St. Benedict Church, Somerville, Friday at 11 AM.
Burial will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery, Everett.
