Methuen, MA – Rita M. Lustenberger, 93, died Friday November 19, 2010 at the Nevins Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. She had been a resident of The Grace Morgan House for the last four years.
Born August 11, 1917 in Methuen she was the daughter of Wilfred and Evelyn Vaillancourt. Rita attended Methuen Schools and was employed as a nurses aid with the former McGowan Hospital in Methuen. She remained working for the various health care businesses that were housed at the former hospital for 43 years.
Mrs. Lustenberger was a communicant of Saint Lucy’s Church in Methuen, and was an avid reader and a wonderful care giver to her family.
The widow of John J. Lustenberger survivors include one son Fred E. and his wife Carol A. Lustenberger of So. Acworth, NH, two grandchildren, Scott Lustenberger of Stoddard, NH, and David and his wife Theresa Lustenberger of New Jersey, six great grandchildren; Casey, Addison, Connor, Caitlin, Declan, and Erin, as well as several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A Mass of Christian burial will take place on Friday at 12 Noon in Saint Lucys Church in Methuen with burial to follow in Elmwood Cemetery.
Friends will be warmly received on Friday morning from 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM at the Kenneth H. Pollard Funeral Home, Inc. 233 Lawrence Street in Methuen.
