Matilda T. “Tillie” (Cabral) Henrique, age 86 of Swansea passed away November 19, 2010. She was widow of Augustine “Gus” Henrique and the daughter of the late Francisco T. & Mary (Araujo) Cabral. She was a retired sewing machine operator having worked at M & G Sportswear. She was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Church and a former member of the Ladies Guild of St. Anthony’s Band Club.
She is survived by: 2 sons: Robert J. Henrique and his wife Gloria J. of Swansea; Wayne J. Henrique and his life partner Jennifer A. Cabral of Fall River; and 3 siblings: Edith T. Moniz of Westport, Gilbert T. Cabral and Francisco T. Cabral both of Somerset; 3 grandchildren: Melissa Lovenbury and her husband Daniel, Wayne Henrique II and Michelle McCarthy; 5 great grandchildren: Bridget Lovenbury, Broderick and Adrian Henrique, Benjamin and Landen Novo, and several nieces & nephews. She was sister of the late John T., Louis T., and Roger T. Cabral, and Genevieve T. Cardoza.
Her funeral will take place Wednesday following cremation with a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Francis of Assisi Church, Swansea at 10:00 A.M. Interment in MA National Cemetery. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, kindly make donations to the American Cancer Society or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
