BRISSETTE Lydia R. of Chelmsford, formerly of West Roxbury, Nov. 18, 2010; age 98. Born in Caribou, ME. daughter of Lucy (Langlais) and Theodore Brissette and the oldest of 14 siblings.
She retired as a foreman of Raytheon, but also worked as a teacher in a one-room schoolhouse, and helped do her part for our country building battleships in Portsmouth, NH during WWII. Well into their 80’s, Lydia along with her sister, Dorothy, enjoyed many years being Republican delegates to the Massachusetts convention, ballroom and line-dancing, and bowling while living in West Roxbury.
Lydia is survived by over 25 nieces and nephews from Maine, Massachusetts, West Virginia, Colorado, California, and Florida and many great nieces and nephews.
Visiting hours Tuesday morning 8:30 – 9:45 at the William J. Gormley Funeral Home 2055 Centre St. WEST ROXBURY followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Theresa’s Church at 10 O’Clock, where she was a parishioner for over 45 years. Interment The Gardens at Gethsemane.
