Faye Hall Clark, 70, of Fitzgerald, Georgia died Thursday, November 18, 2010, at Emory University Hospital in Atlanta.
Funeral services will be held 2 P.M. Sunday, November 21, 2010, at the Paulk Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Steve Hand officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery. The family will receive friends 6-9 Saturday evening at the funeral home.
Mrs. Clark was born August 14, 1940 in Lawrence County, Alabama to the late Sidney J. and Jennerria Coan Hall. She lived in Fitzgerald most of her life, graduating from Fitzgerald High School in 1958. Mrs. Clark retired after 18 years of service in the Chief Magistrate’s Office for Ben Hill County. She was the first female Magistrate Judge, serving from 1988 to 1994. Mrs. Clark was a member, church secretary and WMU director at Mt. Olive Baptist Church. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend.
Mrs. Clark is survived by her husband of 52 years: Herbert J. “Mutt” Clark of Fitzgerald; sons and daughters-in-law: Michael W. & Amber Clark of Fitzgerald, Jeffrey & Susan Clark of Bowling Green, KY and Stacy & Becky Clark of Wilcox County; grandchildren: Jeremy, Clint, Mandy Clark and Anna Kathrine Clark born 11/19/2010. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by 2 brothers and 1 sister, Gene Hall, Orlyn Hall and Ruby Lee Hall.
