William H. Hall, 69

William H. Hall, 69, of Plainville, passed away surrounded by his loving family on Thursday November 18, 2010 at the Golden Living Center in Norwood. He was the beloved husband of Ruth G. (Erhardt) Hall, to whom he was wed for the past 23 years.
Born in Worcester, MA on August 1, 1941 he was a dear son of the late Edward R. and Georginna (DeMoura) Custer.
He grew up and was educated in Taunton. A resident of Plainville for the past 23 years, he had formerly made his home in Mansfield.
Mr. Hall was a retired Cook and before retiring in 2007 had been employed for 20 years at the Wrentham State School. Following retirement Bill had worked on the grounds crew at Gillette Stadium in Foxboro.
A member of the First Baptist Church in Mansfield, Bill was a wonderful husband and devoted to his family. He possessed strong work ethics and could always be counted on to lend others in need a helping hand.
Mr. hall enjoyed vacationing in Vermont with family and friends, attending yard sales, and will be fondly remembered for his contagious laughter.
In addition to his beloved wife, he is survived by his devoted children Nancy Jasmin of Plymouth, Rachel Hall of New York, Cheryl Ann Brady of Connecticut, Tina Marie Billing of Natick and Steven Alterio of Texas. Brother of Mildred Platt of Florida and Wanda Ponchello of Indiana, Bill is also survived by his 11 cherished grandchildren as well as several nieces and nephews.
Visiting hours, to which relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend, will be held on Saturday November 27th from 5-8 P.M. at the Sherman & Jackson Funeral Home 55 North Main St. Mansfield. Burial will be private.
In lieu of flowers, Bill’s family has requested that donations in his memory be made to the Middleboro Skilled Care Center 23 Isaac St. Middleboro, MA 02346.
