SALEM - Louis G. Royal, 55, husband of Jennifer (Thiel) Royal, died Wednesday morning, November 17, 2010, at the Kaplan Family Hospice Center, Danvers, following a courageous battle with lung cancer.
Born in Peabody, he was the son of the late Louis L. “Leo” and F. Louise (Campbell) Royal.
Lou was employed as a bus driver for many years and was recently employed by the North Shore Consortium in Beverly.
A resident of Salem for most of his life, he loved fishing.
Besides his wife, with whom he shared 10 years of marriage, he is survived by two sons, Louis W. Royal of Peabody, George Darryl Alurac, Jr. of Salem, one brother, Ronald Royal of Salem, one sister and brother in law, Patricia and Butch St. Pierre of Haverhill, one niece, Christen St. Pierre of Revere and two nephews, Nick St. Pierre of Haverhill and Matthew Royal of Salem.
A visitation will be held Sunday, November 21, 2010 from 2 to 5 pm at the Full-Spychalski Funeral Home, 84 Washington Square East, by Salem Common, Salem. A private funeral service will be held at the convenience of the family.
