Martha McDonald Smith, 86, of Decatur, Georgia passed away May 25, 2010 at the DeKalb Medical Center in Decatur.
Graveside services will be held 1 P.M., Saturday, December 4, 2010, in Evergreen Cemetery, Fitzgerald, with Rev. Keith Goodlett officiating.
Mrs. Smith was born March 11, 1924 in Canton, Georgia to the late William H. and Emma Duncan McDonald. She had lived in Decatur for the past 53 years, was a member of the North Decatur United Methodist Church and a former employee of the Southern Railroad.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law: John R. Jr. and Judy Smith of Richmond, Virginia; grandson: Mark Smith and several nieces and nephews. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John Riser Smith, Sr., January 28, 2003.
