Obituary

Stanley Rogers, resident of Plymouth, passed away on November 15th at the Golden Living Center at the age of 96. Born in Plymouth, and attended Plymouth Schools. He moved to Kingston where he loved for many years. The beloved husband of the late Diantha (Gould), he is survived by his son Mark Rogers and his wife Tricia of Sagamore Beach and his daughters Carol Stas and her husband Brian of Kingston and Jane Ferbert and her husband Mark of Kingston and 6 cherished grandchildren Lauren, Dennis, Kiersten, Ryan, Matthew and Eric. Stanley owned and operated The Rogers Print in Plymouth for many years, after buying the business from his father, which was started by his grandfather. He enjoyed sailing, especially on College Pond in Plymouth, was an amateur radio operator and one of the founders of the Massasoit Amateur Radio Association. He also repaired the police radios for the Plymouth Police Dept. Stanley served 13 years in the U.S Navy during WWII where he served on the USS Hydrus and the Korean Conflict where he served on the USS Taconic. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 20th at the Richard Davis Funeral Home, 373 Court St (Rt 3A), N. Plymouth at 1 PM followed by burial at Vine Hills Cemetery. There are no visiting hours. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the American Cancer Society – Plymouth Unit, 1115 W. Chestnut St, Brockton, MA 02301.
