Obituary

Miriam M. (Spagnoli) Moore, 87, of Mattapoisett died November 17, 2010 at New Bedford Jewish Convalescent Home after a long illness.
She was the wife of the late Ralph V. Moore.
Born in Mattapoisett, the daughter of the late Theodore and Etta B. (Sherman) Spagnoli, she lived in Mattapoisett most of her life.
Mrs. Moore was a member of the Mattapoisett Congregational Church where she was a member and past president of the Women's Guild.
She was formerly employed as a English teacher at Greater New Bedford Regional Technical Vocational High School for many years until her retirement.
Mrs. Moore was a devoted mother and her greatest joy was spending time with her grandchildren. She enjoyed painting, knitting and bird watching.
Survivors include 2 sons, Atty. Robert G. Moore and his wife Kathleen (Morgan) Moore of Mattapoisett and Paul A. Moore and his wife H. Suzanne of Rochester; a daughter, Nancy A. Perry of Fairhaven; a brother, Carl Spagnoli and his wife Maureen of Royston, GA; 6 grandchildren, Amy S. Mello, Melissa N. Weidemann, Meg E. Hunt, Lindsay F. Harding, Ryan P. Moore and Michael K. Crawford and his wife Leah; 9 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great-grandson and many nieces and nephews.
She was the mother-in-law of the late William W. Perry and the sister of the late Blanche Lake and Joan Dexter.
Her Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, November 20th at 11 AM in the Saunders-Dwyer Mattapoisett Home For Funerals, 50 County Rd. (Rt. 6) Mattapoisett. Her family will receive guests on Saturday morning from 10 AM to 11 AM prior to her service. Burial will be private.
