Mrs. Evelyn Gregorio, age 81 of Somerville, died on Monday in the Lawrence Memorial Hospital in Medford. She is the wife of Stanley E. Gregorio with whom she shared more than 60 years of marriage. Mrs. Gregorio was born in Boston, daughter of the late Felice and Lena (Schiarappa) Manzelli. In earlier years she worked as a buyer for the former Jordan Marsh Company. She was a very family minded woman who enjoyed traveling. She and her husband would often take trips to Foxwoods or Mohegan Sun and on occasion to Las Vegas. She spent her childhood years in Boston’s North End. She has been a resident of Somerville for the past 45 years. She is survived by two daughters: Maria Mercogliano and her husband John of Medford and Linda Chiulli of Peabody. Beloved grandmother of 6 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. She is the sister of Mary Ferrara and her husband Santo of Medford, Anna Tulipano of Reading, Alfred Manzelli of Billerica, Peter Manzelli and his wife Jeannette of Medford, Phil Manzelli Jr. of FL. Predeceased by her brother Armando Manzelli, and sister Connie Link.
Funeral from the Dello Russo Funeral Home 306 Main Street MEDFORD, Thursday at 9:00 AM. Followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Joseph Church, 262 Washington Street, Somerville, Thursday at 10:00 am. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Wednesday 4-8 pm. Burial will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
