WORCESTER-Charles E. Richard, 88, died Sunday, December 14th at the Hermitage Nursing Home after a long illness. He leaves his wife of 63 years Elsie G. (Cove) Richard, 3 sons Charles E. Richard, Jr. of Mendon, Robert J. Richard of Brewster and Donald P. Richard of Duxbury, a daughter Carol A. Quitadamo of Worcester, 6 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.
He was born in Leominster the son of Joseph and Delina (Lapierre) Richard. Mr. Richard was a truck driver for 38 years and retired from Eastern Freightways in 1976. He was a member of Teamster Local 25 in Boston. He was a member of Our Lady of the Angels Church.
The funeral will be held on Saturday, December 20th, from O’CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue, with a Mass at 10:00 AM in Our Lady of Angels Church, 1222 Main Street. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery. Calling hours are Friday, December 19th from 5:00 until 8:00 PM.
