Eugene R. Lessard, 70, of Salem, NH died Sat. Nov. 13th at Parkland Medical Center, Derry, NH.
Eugene was born and educated in Lawrence, MA and graduated from Lawrence High School. He served in the US Navy. Eugene retired from the NH Department of Transportation where he was Assistant Foreman. He previously worked for Sanders Associates in Bedford, MA.
Eugene was very involved in the Derry Salem Elks where he was known as “Papa Geno.” He was a Past Exalted Ruler, Past Elk of the Year and was Secretary of the Golf League for many years. Eugene enjoyed cooking for all the Elk functions and for the father and son camping trips. Eugene was an avid 45’s player and enjoyed golfing.

3 Grandnieces: Alyssa McLennan, Nicole and Amanda Olson
Grandnephew: Erik Olson
Calling hours are Tues. Nov. 16th from 4-8 PM at Douglas & Johnson Funeral Home, 214 Main St., Salem, NH.
Funeral services will be Wed. Nov. 17th at 10:00 AM at the Funeral Home. Burial is in Bellevue Cemetery, Lawrence.
