Lucille C. Smith, 88, Clarksville, died Sunday, November 14, 2010, at Walking Horse Meadows. A celebration of life service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at Neal-Tarpley-Parchman Chapel with Ken Gossett officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday and from 10 a.m. until the hour of the service Wednesday at the funeral home. Neal-Tarpley-Parchman Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. She was born September 13, 1922 in Stewart County, daughter of the late Charlie Lee Chester and Ethel Shepherd Chester. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Frank T. Jones, second husband Ottis Smith; and brother, Homer Lee Chester. She was a homemaker and a member of Hilldale Church of Christ. Survivors include her special friend, Mark Lowe, Springfield, TN; four step-daughters, Joanne Bowers (Bobby), Clarksville, TN; Barbara Sledd (Seldon), Hopkinsville, KY; Mardee Powers (Mark), Cabot, Ark; and Viva Wallace (Bruce), Bridgewater, N.J.; sister-in-law, Mary Lee Chester Cobb; eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Brad Bowers, Scot Sledd, Chad Sledd, Ryan Powers, Mark Lowe, Wayne Lowe, Denny Lowe, and Bobby Bowers.
