Obituary

Worcester – Norman P. Bouvier, 82, of Worcester, died in his home on Saturday, November 13th after an illness.

Mr. Bouvier was born in Worcester son of the late Leo P. and Sarah R. (Wedge) Bouvier and is predeceased by two brothers Harry J. and Dewey A. Bouvier. He is survived by many nephews and nieces including three special nieces Marie Jakubiak who was his caregiver and Ann Achorn and Maureen Gibson

Norman is a veteran of the United States Army serving during the Korean War. While serving in the Army, Norman received both the Purple Heart and the Sharpshooter’s Medal.

Mr. Bouvier worked as a supervisor and shipper for 34 years at Phalo Plastics and Belden Plastics retiring in 1989.

He was a member of Saint Peter’s Church and choir, the Vernon Hill American Legion Post and the Worcester Lodge of Elks #243 where he also volunteered at their weekly bingo. Norman enjoyed many things in life including playing bingo. He especially enjoyed spending time with his family.

The funeral will be held on Friday, November 19th from the Alfred Roy & Sons Funeral Home 12 Hammond St. with a Mass at 10:00 AM in Saint Peter’s Church 931 Main Street. Burial will follow in Notre Dame Cemetery. Calling hours are on Thursday, November 18th from 5 to 7 PM in the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Saint Peter’s Church c/o St. Vincent de Paul Society 929 Main Street Worcester, MA 01610 or to a charity of the donor’s choice.
