Obituary


Manchester– Roland P. Gagnon, 93, died November 12, 2010 at Villa Crest Nursing & Retirement Community following a brief illness.
He was born in Manchester on January 11, 1917 the son of Joseph and Augustine (Marquis) Gagnon.
He graduated from Manchester West High School. He was an avid basketball fan, he especially enjoyed watching the Boston Celtics.
Prior to his retirement he had worked in the Shoe Manufacturing business at Dorsen –Fleischer and J. F. McElwain, and in the printing business in Lowell, MA..
He was a member of the Rimmon Club. He enjoyed playing cards and was a former Cribbage champion in Manchester.
He was predeceased by his first wife Cecile (Gamache) Gagnon, his second wife, Ida (Demers) Gagnon and his third wife Cassandra (Piper) Gagnon.
Family members include one son, Robert Gagnon of Zephyrhills, FL., one daughter, Mrs. Robert (Rita) Juneau of Manchester, step children, Robert Graham, Cassandra Cummings, Doris Phillips, Arthur Demers, and two sisters, Simone Roy and Irene Chaput, several grandchildren, greatgrandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.
In His Life: He also leaves a daughter in law, Lorraine Gagnon of Zephyrhills, FL.
Services: A calling hour will be on Tuesday from 8:30 to 9:30 AM at J. N. Boufford & Sons Funeral Home, 110 Bridge St.
A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Tuesday at 10 AM in Parish of the Transfiguration Church, Kelley St.
Burial will follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
