HAMLET: Mr. Lewis Locklear, 66, of 612 Ghio Rd., Hamlet, died Friday, November 12, 2010 in FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital in Pinehurst.
Funeral Services will be conducted at 2:00 PM on Monday, November 15, from Southside Free Will Baptist Church with Pastor Ricky Jacobs and Reverend Jimmy Tennant officiating. Interment will follow in the Northam Cemetery Extension.
Lewis was born in Maxton on August 31, 1944 to the late Johnny and Lizzy Locklear. He served in the US Army and retired from textiles. He was a member of Southside Free Will Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Annie Owens Locklear; three sons, Lewis Locklear, Jr. of Pembroke, Charles 'Jr.' Cummings of Hamlet, Donald Locklear of Laurinburg; three daughters, Priscilla Nicole Davis of Rockingham, Tracey Dawn Owens of Bennettsville, SC, Tracy Lynn Locklear of Laurinburg; seven sisters, Linda Locklear of Red Springs, Glenda Locklear, Alice Clark, Betty Jean Locklear, Elizabeth Locklear, Patsy Locklear, and Margaret Locklear all of McColl, SC; two brothers, Dan Locklear of McColl, SC, Tommy Locklear of Dillon, SC; sixtenn grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends Sunday from 6-8:00 at Southside Free Will Baptist Church
