Obituary

Paul Collier, 47, of Derry, NH died on Wednesday, November 10, 2010 at Massachusetts General Hospital, Boston, MA after a tragic accident. He was born in Glens Falls, New York on July 7, 1963 to Patricia Collier. He arrived eleven minutes before his twin sister, Patty (Collier) Langlois. Paul attended school in Glens Falls. Music was his passion and he was first chair trumpet in the high school band. He was also an avid sports fan, enjoying tennis, basketball and playing golf. He also enjoyed watching games with his friends especially his favorite team, the Boston Celtics. Paul loved to trek through the Adirondacks in Upstate New York and later the White Mountains in new Hampshire. He loved spending time at Cape Cod with his family during the summer and this past May visited with his sister and her family to explore their favorite spots.

In spite of a thirty-year battle with mental illness, Paul's nature of being a kind, gentle, loving soul prevailed. Long-time companion Kimberly Stitsel and Paul were inseparable as they journeyed through life. Paul will be sorely missed by his family and dear friends and the staff at the Center for Life Management. The family would like to thank all who provided loving support to Paul and his family during this difficult time.
He is survived by his mother Patricia (Pevere) Collier, of Burlington, VT, four sisters, Sandra King of Alaska, Abby Collier of Maryland, Rebecca Collier of Ohio, Patty Langlois of Epsom, New Hampshire, two brothers, Rick Collier and John Collier, both of Louisiana, many nieces and nephews.

Friends and family gathered at the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 15 Birch Street, Derry on Monday November 15th from 6:00 to 7:00pm. A memorial service was held at 7:00pm. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Center for Life Management Foundation, 10 Tsienneto Road, Derry, NH 03038.
