Laconia---Evelyn Adele Laramy went to rest with the Lord at the age of 90 on November 8, 2010. She had been a resident at the St. Francis Rehabilitation & Nursing Center for the past 7 years and had lived at Golden Crest assisted living prior. Evelyn was born in Brookline, MA, daughter of Sidney G. and Helen A. Laramy on October 6, 1920.
Evelyn was an executive secretary to the Chancellor at the New York University and the Mount Sinai Medical College, residing most of her career in New York City and later Pennsylvania and New Hampshire to be near family members.
She was predeceased by two sisters, Francis Smith and June L. O’Shea Barry.
She leaves a close sister, Virginia Voss, of Chicago, Illinois and several nephews and nieces including Nancy Voss of Chicago, Illinois, John D. O’Shea, Jr. of Gilmanton, Sally D. (O’Shea) Kearney of Montreal, Canada and Tom O’Shea of New Hampton who has been her guardian for nine years. The family wishes to thank St Francis Rehabilitation & Nursing Center for the wonderful care given to her throughout the years of her failing health.
A Service will be held on Tuesday, November 16, 2010 at 11:00AM at the Mount Calvary Mausoleum, 434 Goffstown Road, Manchester.
