Priscilla R. (Jewett) Hayes age 82, of Brockton died at her home surrounded by her family on Tuesday November 9, 2010. She was the wife of the late Raymond D. Hayes. Priscilla was born in Quincy and raised in Hanover a daughter of the late Henry and Marjorie (Shoals) Jewett. A 1946 graduate of Hanover High School, Priscilla was a homemaker devoted to her home and family. She had resided in Brockton for over sixty years and was a longtime member of St. Paul Episcopal Church and a founder of the Paine School PTA.
Priscilla enjoyed gardening and loved to cook and entertain. She especially enjoyed her time spent with her family and grandchildren.
She is survived by her six children Cynthia M. Maloney and her husband Richard of Natick and Chatham; Suzanne Lake and her husband Howard of Brockton; Patrice Yunits of Georgia; Raymond D. Hayes, II and his wife Doreen of Idaho; Scott M. Hayes of Wareham and Mark C. Hayes of Georgia. She leaves 13 grandchildren Eva and Justin Maloney; Krystn and Ashley Lake; Christian Hayes, and Nicholas Yunits; Raymond, Ryan, Siobhan and Patrick Hayes and Jessica, Aerika and Travis Hayes. She also leaves 2 great grandchildren Haley and Caiden Hayes. She was the sister of the late Roger and Bruce Jewett.
A Memorial Service will be held Sunday November 14, 2010 at 2 pm in St. Paul Episcopal Church 80 Pleasant Street, Brockton. Burial will be at a later date.
