PEABODY - Jay S. Richardson, age 52, a Navy Veteran, died unexpectedly Wednesday evening, Nov. 10, at the North Shore Hospital in Salem, after a courageous and long battle with diabetes.
He was born in Chelsea, December 13, 1957, a beloved son of Marilyn (Frongillo) Morrissey of Peabody. He was raised in East Boston, but lived in Salem for the past two decades.
In 1977, he enlisted into the US Navy and served aboard the USS Nimitz. His overseas experience included the Arabian Sea and Indian Ocean.
Besides his mother, he is survived by a brother, Stephen; a sister and brother-in-law, Krista and Paul Bounanduci of Beverly; a niece, Sophia; an aunt Louise and her husband William Shotwell of Medford.
His Funeral Service was held Monday, Nov. 15, in the funeral home, followed by burial with Navy Honors at Tewksbury Cemetery.
