Rosalie W. Rice, 82, of Mattapoisett died November 10, 2010 at Alden Court Nursing Home.
She was the wife of Arthur C. Rice with whom she shared 64 years of marriage.
Born in Wood Island, New Brunswick, Canada, the daughter of the late Melvin E. and Merle L. (Doane) Schofield, she was raised in Lubec, ME and lived in Mattapoisett most of her life.
She was an avid reader.
Survivors include her husband; 3 children, Christie DeCosta of Mattapoisett, Brian Rice and his wife Sonya of Florida and Vickie Rice of New Bedford; 5 grandchildren, Michal Gajewski and his wife Kate, Kathy Peterson and her husband Shaun, Brian Rice and his wife Darby, Stephanie Rebello and her husband Kevin and Eugene Griffin; 11 great-grandchildren.
