EAST TAUNTON – Don W. Parish, 73, died at the home of his son in Taunton on Nov. 8, 2010.
A resident of East Taunton, he was the husband of the late Ann C. “Nancy” (Danahey) Parish.
Born in Merritt, FL, he was the son of the late Percy P. and Bessie Irene (Thompson) Parish.
He was raised and educated in Florida and was a graduate of Cocoa High School.
A peacetime veteran of the U.S. Air Force, Mr. Parish was employed by General Motors for over 35 years, retiring in the year 2000.
He was a communicant of Holy Family Church in East Taunton.
An avid sports fan, he loved spending time with his grandchildren and attending their sporting events.
Survivors include two sons, Donald W. Parish of Taunton and Mark W. Parish of Berkley; a daughter, Lisa A. White of E. Taunton; a brother, John “Sonny” Parish of FL; two sisters, Gloria Lunsford and her husband Michael of Cocoa Beach, FL and Betty Byrd of Naples, FL; five grandchildren, Shioban, Jacob, Megan, Joshua and Sarah; and several nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.
His funeral will be held from the Silva Funeral Home, 80 Broadway on Friday, Nov. 12th at 9 a.m. followed by a funeral mass at Holy Family Church at 10 a.m.
Burial will be at St. Joseph Cemetery. Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
Calling Hours will be held at the funeral home on Thursday, Nov. 11th from 6 to 8 p.m.
