SPENCER: Richard (Dick) E. Leveillee, 64, of 5 Cooney Road died Sunday, Nov. 7 in his home encircled by his loving family.
He leaves his cherished wife of 45 years, Joanne M. (Snow) Leveillee; daughter Lisa A. Robbins, her husband Tom and their children Alex and Brittany of North Brookfield; son Richard J. Leveillee, his wife Colleen and their son Connor of Spencer; daughter Cherilyn M.L. Vanderpool, her husband Jason and their children Julian and Charlotte of Norfolk, MA.
Dick also leaves his brother Herve W. Leveillee and his wife Marguerite of Leicester; six sisters and their husbands: Jeanne M. and Arthur St. Denis of Brookfield, Elaine and Jack Baldina of West Brookfield, Simone and Ronald Lacaire of Brookfield, Madeline and James Robator of Sturbridge, Constance and Ronald Valcourt of Sturbridge, Denise and John Phipps of Southbridge; his mother-in-law Marie A. Snow of Spencer; his sister-in-law Dianne S. Hange and her husband Donald of Wooster, OH, and many nieces and nephews.
Born in Worcester, Dick was the dedicated son of Herve A. and Loretta (Berthiaume) Leveillee. He will be remembered for his generosity and devotion to his family and friends whom he loved so dearly. An ambitious entrepreneur, he graduated from Worcester Boys Trade School and founded, owned and operated R.E. Leveillee Woodworking, Inc. from 1971-2006. Examples of his work can be found throughout the country. Dick was also a lifelong member of St. Mary’s Church, where he acted as an advisor for C.Y.C. for over a decade. He also chaired the setup and breakdown committee for the Mary, Queen of the Rosary International Bazaar for several years. Dick was an active member of the community, having been a past member of the Spencer Exchange Club and actively involved in Spencer Little League. Dick treasured his grandchildren above all else. He was an animal lover, avid golfer and enjoyed playing pickleball at The Villages in Florida, where he and Joanne loved spending winters.
The funeral will be held Friday, Nov. 12 from J. HENRI MORIN & SON FUNERAL HOME, 23 Maple Terr., Spencer with a Mass at 10:00 AM in Our Lady of the Rosary Church, 7 Church Street, Spencer. Burial will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery, Spencer. Calling hours are 4:00-7:00 PM Thursday, Nov. 11. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Lowe Center for Thoracic Oncology, Dana Farber Cancer Institute, Dana 1234, 44 Binney St., Boston, MA 02115. Checks payable to: Dana Farber/Thoracic Oncology, with his name in the memo section.
