Anthony S. “Lopy” LoPilato, of Medford, died Sunday at Life Care Center after a long illness. He was 67.
A Medford resident for all of his life, Lopy was the son of the late Agostino and the late Mary (Matarazzo) LoPilato. Anthony served in the Army during the Vietnam War. He worked as a sales representative for Chucks Provisions for many years. He was a very active in leading youth sports programs, especially with the Middlesex Islanders, North Medford Little League and Medford Youth Hockey.
The former husband of Barbara (Myles) LoPilato, he was a devoted father to Anthony LoPilato, Jr. of Medford, Karyn Silva and her husband William of Medford, Derek LoPilato and his wife Megan of Tewksbury. He was a dear father-in-law of Theresa LoPilato of Medford. He was a loving grandfather to Nicole, Christopher, Samantha, Stephanie, Cameron and Ava. He was the brother of the late Celeste O’Riley and Theresa Francione.
His funeral will be from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford, Friday, November 12th at 10 AM followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Francis of Assisi Church, 441 Fellsway West, Medford, at 11 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Thursday 4 - 8. Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
