George M. Burkhardt, 90, of Haverhill, MA died on Monday November 1, 2010 at Hannah Duston Healthcare Center, Haverhill. George was born , raised and educated in Methuen and has lived in Haverhill since 1938. Before retirement in 1979, he worked as a firefighter with The Haverhill Fire Department.
The widower of Paulene A. (Frost) Burkhardt, his family members include his daughter, Joanne P. and her husband, Edward Mazzaglia of Haverhill and his grandson, Paul A. and his wife Eliza Kempton of California. He also leaves his sister, Marion Kinlock of Seabrook Beach, NH and several cousins and his special friend, Kevin Campbell. George's family would like his friends and the staff of The Bradford unit at Hannah Duston Healthcare for their kindness and compassionate care.
