Thomas R. “Rob” MacGregor, 56, of 11 Town House Court died Saturday, Oct. 30 in St. Vincent Hospital after being stricken ill.
He leaves his wife of 29 years Donna M. (Coran) MacGregor, two daughters Elizabeth A. MacGregor-Blanton and her husband Johnny of Spencer, Leah A. MacGregor of Modesto, CA, a son David R. MacGregor and his wife Renee of Southbridge, two brothers Mark MacGregor and his wife Ann of American Canyon, CA, and Matthew MacGregor and his wife Rose of Oxford, three sisters Amy McConnell of Oakham, Judi MacGregor-Levens and her husband John of Healdsberg, CA, and Janet Lawrence and her husband Gavin Duffy of Norwalk, CT, four grandchildren Makenzie, Shane, Nicholas and Lillianna, many nieces and nephews.
Mr. MacGregor was born in Worcester, son of Everett and Dorothy (Loughnane) MacGregor. He owned and operated D&T Fasteners in Spencer for the last 10 years. He graduated from Leicester High School. He was a member and board director at the Spencer Fish & Game. Rob was a member of the Massasoit Art Guild and was a world champion wood carver and owner of Waterfowl Creations in Spencer where he taught woodcarving classes. He enjoyed playing golf, the guitar, hunting and fishing.
The funeral services will be held Saturday, Nov. 6 at 10:00 AM in the First Congregational Church of Spencer, 205 Main Street, Spencer. Burial will follow in Greenville Baptist Cemetery, in the Rochdale section of Leicester. Calling hours are Friday from 4:00-7:00 PM in J. HENRI MORIN & SON FUNERAL HOME, 23 Maple Terr., Spencer.
