Bessie Stone Davis, age 90, of Douglas GA passed away on Monday, November 01, 2010, in Telfair GA. Mrs Davis, a native of Coffee County, GA was born April 30, 1920: she is the daughter of the late Walter and Lucy Stone. She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Davis, daughter, Linda Rae Davis and eight brothers and sisters. Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, November 03, 2010 in the Chapel of Sims Funeral Home at 2:00 p.m. with burial following in the Sand Hill Church Cemetery. Survivors include: Daughters, Brenda (Larry) Morris, Douglas, GA; Annis (Luscious) Bowen, Roanoke, VA; Son, Randy (Beth) Davis, Douglas GA; granddaughters: Jan Lynn, Myrtle Beach, SC, Jean Thomas, Charlotte, NC, Joanne Perry, Roanoke, VA, Sara Holt, Pearson, GA; grandson: Ray Morris, Valdosta, GA; great grandchildren: Wendy, Ryan, Addison and Ansley. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, November 2, 2010 from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m at Sims Funeral Home. Sims Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
