Obituary

John Ratay, my husband of 49 years died. He worked all his life like most people. Material accomplishments for him were to make things better for his family. He worked with many wonderful people over the years and made lasting friends. Johnny never considered himself anything but who he was. His sister Barbara and he had a bond only they shared. Frank who he always called his little brother also shared their own special times. I also want to acknowledge his brother-in-law Jonathan and sister-in-law Mary Rose who cared for him as well.

The greatest treasures for him were the children we raised. They meant more to him than anything else. Lisa or as he fondly called her his princess, Christopher, Mark and Jonathan, knew how much they were loved.

Our grandchildren had a special relationship with their papa, and will have many memories to carry into their lives and pass onto families of their own. Maddison, Torrey, Dayna, Joshua and Tylyn, your papa loved you bunches. His son-in-law Mike and Cara his daughter-in-law were considered son and daughter to him.

With special love to those who came in contact with him on this journey, Doctors, nurses, cleaning staff and many others. A special thank you and love to the hospital staff at Geisinger for Advance Medicine who gave their heart and soul to my husband and family and who were so respectful and caring, I couldn't have made it through this without you.
Honey you will be missed, but never gone to us. Hugs and Kisses.
