Salem: James R. Marquis, age 31, died on Thursday, October 28, 2010 in Weymouth. He was the husband of Kelly (Mitchell) Marquis of Peabody.
Born and raised in Salem, he was the son of Sherry Rose of Lantana, FL and James R. Marquis and his wife Kimberly of Salem. A graduate of Salem High Class of ’97, Jamie was currently employed as a draftsman for Quality Air Metals of Holbrook. He was a member of Local 17 of Dorchester. An avid Patriots fan, he was also an adventurer who enjoyed sky diving.
In addition to his wife and parents, he is survived by a daughter, Teya Marquis of Peabody, 2 sisters, Nicole Bingham and her husband Aaron of Salem, Amanda Marquis of Peabody, a brother Matthew Marquis of Swampscott, his maternal grandfather Richard Rose, 4 nieces and a nephew. He was predeceased by his grandparents, Rene and Frances Marquis and Sandra Rose.
Relatives and friends are invited to his visiting hours on Wednesday, November 3, 2010 at the Levesque Funeral Home, 163 Lafayette St. [Rt. 114 / 1-A] Salem from 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. to be followed by his funeral mass in Immaculate Conception Church, Hawthorne Blvd., Salem at 11 a.m. At his daughter Teya’s request, in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The American Heart Assoc.
