BEVERLY: Margaret M. (Sharpe) Collins, 76, died Friday, October 29, 2010 surrounded by her family at her home. She was the wife of the late John Collins who died in 1989.
Born in Glasgow, Scotland on April 1, 1934, she was the daughter of the late Daniel and Elizabeth (Andrews) Sharpe. She came to the United States in 1967 and settled in Beverly. She loved to walk downtown Beverly and enjoyed her trips to Foxwood’s and she especially loved to spend time with her family.
She is survived by four daughters, Elizabeth and her husband, Brian McCauley of Goffstown, NH, Margaret and her husband, Daniel McKenna of Beverly, Johanne and her husband, Roy Stanwood of Sanbornton, NH and Frances Roberts of Beverly, a son, John and his wife, Robin Collins of Surprise, AZ, twelve grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and many extended family members in Glasgow, Scotland.
Her funeral services will be privately held at the convenience of the family. There are no visiting hours. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in her memory to the Hospice of the North Shore, 75 Sylvan St., Suite B-102, Danvers, MA 01923.
