Obituary

COCHITUATE/MEDWAY: Elizabeth L. (Styles) Campana-Filosa, 85, died peacefully in the comfort and love of her family on Tuesday, October 26, 2010 following a period of declining health.
She was born in Natick on March 8, 1925 the daughter of the late Robert D. Styles and Vivien E. (Harriott) Styles.
Elizabeth is survived by her loving and devoted children: Robert L. Campana, Jr. and his wife Nancy of Medway and Claudia Campana Zahavi and her husband Moty of Santa Monica, CA. She was the cherished sister of Hope S. Amabile and her husband John of Natick. Also survived by her grandchildren Christopher R. Campana and his wife Jen of Byfield; Amy E. Anderson and her fiancé Tony Brennan of Townsend; Sage Surner of NH and Heath Widdiss of Southborough. Great-grandmother of Victoria, Julia, and Rebecca Anderson; Josie Iadicicco and Cameron Widdiss. Elizabeth also leaves many nieces and nephews. She was the wife of the late John H. Filosa who died in July of 1997 and Robert L. Campana, Sr. who died in March of 1981.
Elizabeth has been a longtime resident of Cochituate and spent her summers as a young girl on the shores of Dudley Pond with her family. She was a graduate of Natick High School and attended Framingham State College. Elizabeth and her late husband Robert owned Daths Package Store in Cochituate where she was the bookkeeper for many years. She served as a deaconess at the Wellesley Park Assembly of God Church in Natick and Wayland. Elizabeth spent countless hours for over 20 years as a volunteer at Bethany Convent in Lincoln. She was a loving and caring mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and aunt to her entire family and will be greatly missed.
Private family interment will be held at the Campana family lot in Lakeview Cemetery in Cochituate.
A Celebration of her life will be held on Saturday, November 6, 2010 at 11:00 am in the Bryant Memorial Chapel of the John C. Bryant Funeral Home, 56 Pemberton Road (Off Rte 30), Cochituate.
In lieu of flowers, her family suggests memorial gifts in Elizabeth’s memory may be sent to Parkinson’s Disease Foundation, 710 West 168th Street, New York NY 10032.
