Irene J. Gardner (Marathas) age 88 of Canton passed away at the Ellis Nursing Home October 30th. Born in Lowell she was a lifelong resident of Canton. She worked for the Falmouth Schools and Draper Brothers in Canton for many years. . Beloved wife of the late Richard H. Sr. Mother of Richard H. Jr. of Fall River, William J. of Canton, Dawn P. Flanagan of Canton & Edward T. of Walpole. Sister of Sophie Soja of FL, Helen Destito of Norwood, Nicholas Marathas of Norwood, Paul Marathas of Easton, Perry Marathas of Georgetown, Nancy Krowski of Easton & the late Poppy Viscariello , Mitzie, George, Charles & Peter Marathas. Also survived by 9 grandchildren & 8 great grandchildren. She was the grandmother of the late James E. Gardner.
