Millbury-Valerie J (Pluta) Wondolowski, 94, of 1000 Gover Rd died Dec. 10th in Millbury Healthcare Center.
Her husband Dr. Joseph P. Wondolowski died in 1961. She is survived by a son Joseph P Wondolowski, Jr., of Salt Lake City Utah; three daughters, Dr. Joanne T Jozefowski of Millbury; Mary Jane Wondolowski of Worcester; and Valerie J Katinas of Millbury; 6 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; four sisters, Sophie A Pyskaty of Wallingford CT., Helen LaCroix of Palm Beach, Fla, Elizabeth M Furness of Oklahoma City OK; and Lois Bossidy of Meriden CT., a brother Walter A. Pluta and a sister Statia Faust both predeceased her. She born in Wallingford, CT., daughter of the late Adam and Jadwiga (Mihalak) Pluta and moved to Worcester in 1935.
She was a graduate of Wallingford High School and Becker College.
Mrs. Wondolowski worked as a nurse in her husband’s medical practice before retiring in 1961.She was a longtime member of Saint Brigid’s Parish in Millbury and The AARP. She enjoyed reading, crocheting and most of all being with her family. She was loved and admired for her gentle caring and unconditionally loving spirit.
The funeral will be held Saturday Dec. 13th from HENRY-DIRSA FUNERAL HOME, 33 Ward St., with a Mass at 10 am in Saint Brigid’s Church 59 Main St., Millbury. Burial will follow in Notre Dame Cemetery, Worcester. Visitation at the funeral home will be from 8 am to 9:30 am before the Mass.
