Hazel L. Deamon, 80, a resident of Hampstead NH and Sarasota, Fl. passed away Wednesday October 27 2010 at the Evergreen Place in Manchester NH.
Born March 25, 1930 in Atkinson, NH to the late Howard and Alice (Murley) Toshach Sr. She worked many years in the cafeteria for the Sarasota FL School system.
Hazel enjoyed crafts especially knitting. She was a former member of the Eastern Star. Hazel loved holidays, Christmas being her favorite. It was a time for her whole family to get together and be one.
She took great joy in her grandchildren’s lives and happily told stories of their accomplishments with everyone she met.
She was an avid collector of recipes and loved to swap them with her caregivers, friends and family members.
Some of these recipes were published at Evergreen Place where she happily lived out her days.
She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Henry S. Deamon Jr. in 2008. She leaves her loving children, Henry S. Deamon Jr. of Deerfield, NH, Heidi Hurd of Manchester, NH, Helyn Ray of Weare, NH along with her five precious grandchildren, Brett and Joseph Martino, Harrison Deamon, Samantha and Sarah Ray.
Mrs. Deamon also leaves her sister Ruth Luro of Tamarak FL, two brothers, Leroy Toshach of Methen MA and Howard Toshach of Bradford, MA along with nieces, nephews and cousins.
All services are private at the request of the family and the Peabody Funeral Home and Crematorium of Derry NH is respectfully making arrangements with the Deamon Family. The family has asked that donations in memory of Mrs. Deamon be made to the American Cancer Society 30 Speen Street Framingham MA 01701.
