Obituary

WORCESTER
Ronald A. Doyle, 76, of Worcester died Thursday, October 28 in UMASS Memorial Medical Center.
He leaves his wife of 55 years, Joan A. (Roach) Doyle; three children, Michael P. Doyle and his wife Gina of Worcester, Dennis J. Doyle and his wife Heidi of Leicester and Pamela C. Glockner and her husband Paul of Hermon, ME; his grandchildren, Tyler, Dylan, Keliana, Jasmine, Stephanie, Courtney, Christopher, Stephanie and Benjamin; a brother, James M. Doyle and his wife Carolyn of Leicester; a sister, Rita F. Swett of Leicester and nieces and nephews. A sister, Ellen M. Grenier predeceased him. He was born in Worcester, son of Alice (Davis) Doyle and graduated from South High School and was an Army Veteran of the Korean War.
Ronny was a Worcester Police Officer for many years, retiring several years ago and the financial officer, longtime member and former athletic director of the Main South American Legion Post #341. He was a member of Christ the King Church, the Massachusetts Police Assoc., and the Knights of Columbus Alhambra Council #88.
The Funeral will be held Tuesday, November 2 from CALLAHAN & FAY BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, with a Mass at 10:00 a.m. in Christ the King Church, 1052 Pleasant St. Burial will be private in St. John’s Cemetery. Visiting Hours are Monday, November 1, from 5 to 8 p.m. in the funeral home.
