Boylston - Marjorie E. (Healy) Collins, 82, passed away Monday, October 25, 2010, at UMass Memorial Medical Center - Memorial Campus. Her husband, Raymond E. Collins, died in 1992. She leaves two sons, Raymond A. and his wife Brenda of Boylston and William F. and his wife Linda of Charlton; one daughter, Gail D. (Collins) Weller of Hartsville, SC; three brothers, John, Paul, and James Healy; two sisters, Patricia Derby and Katherine Wiles; six grandchildren, Jacquelyn Rymer, Jamie Lynn, Jason W. and Leah Collins, and Taylor and Anna Weller; 1 great-grandson, Noah Rymer; and many nieces and nephews. Several siblings predeceased her.
She was born in Worcester, daughter of Mary (Brown) and Frederick F. Healy. She was a graduate of Commerce High School. Marjorie enjoyed traveling, playing cards, dominoes, puzzles and was an avid Red Sox fan. She was active in Boylston, volunteering at the Public Library and helping with voter-registration. She also volunteered at the Sterling Senior Center.
A graveside burial of ashes will be held at Worcester County Memorial Park, 217 Richards Avenue, Paxton on Friday, October 29, at 12 o'clock noon. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association, 330 Congress St., 5th Floor, Boston MA 02110.
