Obituary

James J. Cahill, age 63, of Streetsboro, OH. Mr. Cahill died October 22, 2010 at the Louis Stokes Cleveland VA Medical Center in Cleveland. He was born August 4, 1947 in Worcester, Massachusetts. He graduated in 1965 from St. John’s High School in Auburn, Massachusetts and received his bachelor’s degree from College of the Holy Cross in 1972.

Mr. Cahill had worked as a controller for Rapid Maintenance Solutions, prior to that he worked as a CPA for the former Synthetic Products in Cleveland.

He was an assistant track coach at the former Regina High School in Cleveland; he attended St. Joan of Arc and St. Paschal Baylon both in Cleveland area, where he served as a lector and in the choir at both and he was a part of the contemporary Christian play “Compassion”, which traveled to various churches in the area. A U.S. Army veteran.

Survivors include his daughter Laura (Ted) Hoffman of OH; grandson Teddy Hoffman; brothers Bob (Tilla) Cahill of FL, Fran (Sharon) Cahill of Massachusetts and Rick (Brenda) Cahill of Massachusetts; former wife C.K. Cahill of OH; he is also survived by many other loving family. He was preceded in death by his brother William Cahill; parents William and Marcelle Cahill and Uncle Fr. Fran Costa.

Graveside service will be held 12:30pm Thursday at St. John’s Cemetery.
Family will receive friends from 10;00 until 12 Noon Thursday, Ocotber 28th at O’Connor Brothers Funeral Home, 592 Park Ave., Worcester.
