Bruce G. Gilchrist, 63, of Salem New Hampshire died on Thursday October 21, 2010 at Caritas Holy Family Hospital, Methuen. Bruce was born in Methuen and was raised in Salem, NH. He has lived in Salem all of his life. He worked as a truck driver with several construction companies. Bruce enjoyed gardening and working outdoors and was an avid sports fan and especially loved The New England Patriots. He was also an avid fan of NASCAR and Dale Ernhardt was his favorite driver.
His family members include his wife, Dianne L. (Landry) Gilchrist of Salem, NH and his daughter, Sheila Andrew also of Salem, NH. He leaves his sisters, Jacqueline Simpson of Chester, NH and Bonnie Coombs of Manchester, NH and a brother, Donald Gilchrist of Florida. Bruce also has 2 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews
Calling hours will be on Monday October 25, 2010 from 4 to 7 pm at The Goundrey & Dewhirst Funeral Home, 42 Main Street, Salem, NH . A funeral service will follow on at 7:00 pm on Monday at the funeral home.
