Adell H. Green, 88, passed away on October 22nd, 2010. She was born in Nova Scotia, Canada on November 27th, 1921 to her parents George and Edith (Beck) MacLeod. Adell was raised and educated in Somerville and is a graduate of Somerville High School. She has been a resident of Medford for the past 62 years. Adell was a homemaker who enjoyed spending time with her family. She is survived by her children; Robert L. Green Jr. and his wife Joanne of Stoneham, Susan Kelley and her husband Scott of Wakefield, Thomas E. Green of North Andover and Janice L. Bryan and her husband Jay of Malden; by her grandchildren; Robert III, Jennifer, Scott Jr., David, Lydsay, Adam and Jason; by her great grandchildren; Madison, Shaelyn, Hannah, Mackenzie and Kaitlin; and by her sisters; Vera Mickalsen of Florida and Beatrice Ladner of Westborough. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Along with her parents, Adell was preceded in death by her husband Robert L. Green and by her granddaughter Amanda Kelley. Relatives & friends are invited to attend her funeral from the Breslin Funeral Home, 610 Pleasant St., Malden on Tuesday October 26th at 9 AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial celebrated at St. Francis of Assisi Church in Medford at 10 AM. Services will conclude with interment Puritan Lawn Memorial Park in Peabody. Visiting hours will be held at the funeral home on Monday October 25th from 4-8 PM. An angel has walked among us, teaching us compassion, friendship, and the love of family. She lived life with her own style, grace, and strength. Wife, Mother, Nana, Friend, she inspired all of us to rise to our highest levels. Love is eternal and life is everlasting. Her memory will go on forever.
