DUDLEY – Helen L. (Hart) Lavallee, 75, of 4 Marshall Terrace, died Saturday, December 6, in Lifecare Center in Auburn. Her husband of 55 years, Joseph N. Lavallee, died in 2000.
She leaves 2 sons, James J. Lavallee of Worcester and Richard P. Lavallee of Dudley; a sister, Mary Catherine Grimes of Versailles, Kentucky; 7 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, and nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by 5 brothers and a sister.
She was born and raised in Frederick, Maryland, daughter of John B. and Mary J. (Winpigler) Hart, and lived here over 50 years.
Mrs. Lavallee was employed as a certified nurse’s aide at Oakwood Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Webster for 25 years before retiring. Previously, she worked at Herideen Rug Co. in Webster for several years.
She was a member of Sacred Heart of Jesus Church in Webster. She dedicated a great deal of her time in taking care of people that were ill.
The funeral will be held Wednesday, December 10, from the Scanlon Funeral Service, East Main Street, Webster, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM in Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, 16 East Main Street. Burial will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery. Calling hours are from 7:00 to 9:00 PM Tuesday, December 9, in the funeral home.
