
Worcester - Ralph C. Croteau, formerly of 52 Country Club Boulevard, died Wednesday, October 20, 2010, in the Millbury Health Care Center after an illness. His wife of 40 years, Josephine T. (Karlon) Croteau, died on September 9, 2001. He leaves a sister, Arlene V. (Croteau) Newell and her husband Clifton Newell of Laconia, NH and his good friends John S. Cross and Becky Tornblom, both of Holden, MA. His niece, Darlene (Newell) Dolloff predeceased him.
Ralph was born on April 14, 1919 in Newport, New Hampshire, son of George J. Croteau and Florence (Beattie) Croteau. He graduated from Sunapee High School, Becker College, and Clark University. Ralph had a 40-year career in banking, retiring in September 1982 as Assistant Treasurer of the former Peoples Savings Bank, Worcester. He was a life member of the Institute of Management Accountants, an active member of Clark University Alumni Association, and a proud member of the Worcester Fire Dept. Box 4 Associates and the Worcester Civil Defense Fire Auxiliary.
Calling hours will be held at Nordgren Memorial Chapel, 300 Lincoln Street, Saturday, October 23, from 2-4 p.m. After cremation, a memorial service and burial will be in Eastman Cemetery, Sunapee, NH at the convenience of the family.
