
Clark E. Campbell, 73, of Ft. Meyers, FL and Derry, NH died October 20, 2010 in the Parkland Medical Center, Derry, NH. Clark was born in Winchester, MA on February 12, 1937, son of the late Raymond E. and Beatrice (Clark) Campbell. He graduated from Wentworth Institute in Boston with an Associates Degree in Steam and Diesel Engineering. He later served with the US Army reserves during the Cuban Missile Crisis. Clark was employed in management and sales with several Manchester area trucking companies, including Holmes Transportation, Quinn Trucking and Vallerie Trucking. He had resided in Ft. Meyers for the past 13 years, summering in Derry where they had lived since 1972.
He served as a trustee for the Alexander Eastman Foundation from 1985 - 1990, and as past president of the Derry Kiwanis Club. Clark also served on the board of directors at the Gateway Golf and Country Club in Ft. Meyers, as well as the golf rules and regulations committee. Clark loved to golf, travel and spend time on Prince Edward Island. He also enjoyed entertaining, spending time with his family and friends.
He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Dorothy A. (Gunn) Campbell of Ft. Meyers and Derry, one daughter, Tracy A. Lannan and her husband Stephen of Derry, one son, David C. Campbell and his wife Marcia of Sammamish, WA, and his four grandchildren, Brent Campbell, Eric Campbell, Rachel Lannan and Daniel Lannan.
Calling hours were held on Sunday October 24th from 12 - 2:00pm in the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 15 Birch St., Derry. Funeral services were held on Monday at 1:00pm in the First Parish Church, 47 E. Derry Rd., E. Derry, NH. Burial followed in Forest Hill Cemetery, E. Derry.
