BEVERLY JEAN SIMMONS
AUGUSTA – Ms. Beverly Jean Simmons, 69, entered into rest on Tuesday, October 19, 2010 at Select Specialty Hospital.
Graveside services will be held on Thursday, October 21, 2010 at 1pm at Westover Memorial Park with the Rev. Randy Byrd officiating.
Mrs. Simmons is survived by her sons, Kerby Scott Confer and Rand Allen Confer, her daughter, Kristin Confer Cantrell and six grandchildren. She is also survived by her constant companion, Roy Broussard.
If so desired, memorials may be made to any Veterans charitable organization.
The family is very proud of Beverly’s achievements in education. She received a BA in History and a Masters Degree in Special Education from Augusta College. She dedicated her career to helping special education students in Richmond county until her retirement in 2007. She was recognized as Teacher of the year for the 1997-1998 school year.
