Westport – Russell B. Davis, 86, of Westport died unexpectedly at home on December 8, 2003.
He was born in Westport son of the late Leslie B. and Mary L. (Wood) Davis and resided in Westport all of his life. He was a graduate of the University of Massachusetts, Amherst. He worked as a self-employed farmer who was known for his Westport Macomber turnips.
Mr. Davis was a member of the Massachusetts Farm Bureau, the Massachusetts Water Fowlers Inc. and the Westport Agricultural Commission. He was a former member of the Westport Farmers Association, the Westport Welfare Board and the Bristol County Ducks Unlimited. Funeral service on Friday, December 12, 2003 at 10:00 A.M. at the Potter Funeral Home, 81 Reed Road, Westport.
