New Bedford - Beldwin Burgo, 76, of New Bedford died October 16, 2010 at New Bedford Rehabilitation Hospital.
Mr. Burgo was born in New Bedford, son of the late Leopold M. and Rose J. (Rodrigues) Burgo, and resided in New Bedford most of his life. He was a communicant of Our Lady of Assumption Church where he very much enjoyed singing in the choir. He was a member of the UMass Gospel Choir and A.A.
Survivors include 2 daughters: Barbara J. Burgo of Richmond, VA and Renée Bradshaw of New Bedford; a son: Kyle Silva of Atlanta, GA; 4 sisters: Isabelle M. Duarte of Middleboro, Marie M. Smith of New Bedford, Laura M. Silva of New Bedford and Aninha M. Silva of Dartmouth; a brother: Manuel M. Burgo of New Bedford; 8 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildern; and numerous nieces & nephews.
He was predeceased by 5 brothers and 1 sister.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Mass at Our Lady of Assumption Church, 47 S. Sixth Street, New Bedford on Friday, October 22, 2010 at 11:00 A.M.
