Mr. Joseph A. Daley, Sr., a longtime resident of Andover and beloved husband of the late Eileen (Clayton) Daley, died at the Methuen Health & Rehabilitation Center in Methuen on Saturday afternoon, October 16, 2010. He was 78 years old.
Born in Andover, Massachusetts, on March 24, 1932, he was the beloved son of the late Timothy F. and Anne (Winters) Daley.
Joseph was a communicant of St. Augustine Church in Andover and was a formerly employed as a driver for the Trombly Motor Coach.
Mr. Daley will be sorely missed by his loving children; Joseph A., Jr. and his wife Diane Daley of Salem, New Hampshire, Deborah Warren of Tewksbury, Dorothy and her husband Paul Morency of Plaistow, New Hampshire, David and his wife Carrie Daley of Seabrook, New Hampshire, Dana Daley of Pottstown, Pennsylvania, Alan and his wife Lauri Daley of Derry, New Hampshire and Edward Daley of Dracut, twelve grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, one great-great-granddaughter and many nieces and nephews.
His Funeral Mass was celebrated in St. Augustine Church, 43 Essex Street, Andover, Wednesday, October 20, 2010, at 10 AM. Many relatives and friends respectfully attended. Calling hours were held in the Burke-Magliozzi Funeral Home, 390 North Main Street, Andover, Tuesday, October 19, 2010, from 4 to 8 PM. Burial was in St. Augustine Cemetery, Andover.
